Morning session: Helping Students Tackle Complex Texts with Close Reading

Annotating strategies can direct students’ attention to key ideas and keep track of their own thoughts. Lastly, we will learn how to use text-dependent questions following each read to engage students in close reading and to evaluate students’ understanding.
