STARTER LEVEL

Starter level is a shorter and simpler level in comparison to levels 1-6.  It is designed as a bridge into Level 1.  However, a student does not necessarily need to do Starter level before doing Level 1.

Starter level matches with CEFR Pre-A1.

​

Starter level is ideal for:

  • Preparing new students for Level 1 if they haven't studied English before.

  • Acting as a bridge between a kindergarten program and a first-year-of-elementary-school program, starting with Level 1.

  • A summer course prior to the start of the first year of elementary school and Level 1.

These are the key differences between Starter level and the other levels of Look.

  • Starter level has only 10 Units (not 12)

  • Starter level Student Book has only 5 Lessons per Unit (not 7)

  • There is a series of 10 Unit Story Books (one per Unit) that go with Starter level
