DRIVE ALONG, ANIMAL SONG

LOOK Starter Anthology

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”  - Dr. Seuss

Now read with me. “I have a long nose. I have a long tail, too. I can run and jump. Look what I can do!” Can you feel the rhythm? Can you feel the rhyme?

Stories are so fantastic for young learners’ language learning. In the classroom teaching, when English is not the students’ first language, the delivery is everything. How can teachers work on their performance? What are the best practices for teachers to use stories to teach young learners? In this session, let us practice some key techniques in teaching stories together and at the same time enjoy some beautiful stories from National Geographic Learning’s VYL and YL programs Look and See and LOOK.
