Reading is one of the basic English skills that learners often feel more comfortable with (especially compared with speaking or writing), perhaps because it is more passive and they can take their time with it. However, as a teacher, we often want to make class more active and productive to help the learners practice more. In this session, we'll look at 5 tips for reading with learners age 8-18, including building vocabulary for reading, developing skills and strategies, asking good questions and more, using examples from the young learner program Look and the teens title Time Zones 3rd Edition.
